Under Armour Launches Women of Will Pink Fitness Party To Raise Awareness About Breast Health

Did you know that the Philippines is among the top 10 countries in Asia with the most cases of breast cancer? According to the Philippine Society of Medical Oncology, 1 out of 4 who are diagnosed with breast cancer die within the first 5 years and no less than 40% die within 10 years. Heartbreaking isn't it? But despite this alarming statistic, the good news is that breast cancer is preventable and curable we just have to heighten our awareness about the disease.

In alignment with this, Under Armour has designed a whole month-long of fitness activities; Women of Will Wednesdays at Urban Ashram. All Wednesdays of November! • Total Wellness and Fitness Saturdays at Edsa Shangri-La Health Club. All Saturdays of November! • Exclusive Tea Fitness Party at Raffles Hotel. November 10, 2015 at 1:30pm. • Women’s Basketball Treat – PBA Basketball 3 on 3. November 28, 2015. • Fitness Day with Belle de Jour. November 29, 2015.


Under Armour launched the campaign "Women of Will" which engaged women of different shapes, ages and background to immerse themselves more into active lifestyle and; fitness to raise awareness about breast health and support those battling breast cancer to which I got invited to Last November 28, 2015 at Edsa Shangri-la Hotel Health Club (Tennis Court) which happens to be Under Armour's health club partner.


“It aligns very much to how we position the Club for our female members and guests. Our goal is to actively promote a lifestyle that is anchored on fitness and wellness. It’s all about celebrating a woman’s strength and watching each of them reach and even surpass their own potential – and this is exactly what Women of Will is all about.” A statement from Edsa Shangri-La’s Health Club Manager, Renessa Santos regarding their partnership with Under Armour. 


The Pink Fitness Party was attended by Women of Will who has shown so much enthusiasm as they dance the night away. I wanted to join my fellow bloggers in the fun but my period came in early and I was suffering menstrual cramps the whole night. Nevertheless, It was such a joy to see this women doing something that would not just benefit them but others too as Under Armour will donate a minimum of 500$ to various breast cancer centers and charities through this campaign. After the dancing, all of us we're served with healthy treats and a surprise reward we're given to 3 ladies who stood out among the rest.

I like supporting this kind of events, it raises awareness to everyone that we can all do something for someone. Extending our help to those who needs it definitely makes me feel great. Congratulations to Under Armour for such a meaningful campaign.
