Tristan and Athena Goes to #VitaCubes2Good Fun Day at Active Fun BGC

Aside from sharing tips and being able to relate to other mommies out there, one of the many things  I love about blogging is that I get to have fun with my kids through mommy and kids related events.

And last October 22, 2016, Vita Cubes the healthy jelly candy that we love held it's #VitaCubes2Good Fun Day at Active Fun BGC. It was an afternoon filled with fun #VitaCubesMoment that Mommy Bloggers such as I enjoyed together with our kids.

My kids love Vita Cubes jelly and I don't worry at all because aside from it being a delightful treat, it's also good for them because it's fortified with vitamins and minerals. You can find out here the healthy goodness that comes in every pack of Vita Cubes candies.

My dates for the #VitaCubes2Good Fun Day was Tristan and Athena, too bad Brianna was sick that time so she stayed in the house with Daddy. Nevertheless, she enjoyed the goodies her Ate and Kuya brought home for her.

The #VitaCubes2Good Fun Day was jam packed with exciting activities that kids and kids at heart enjoyed. It was a time for the mommies to meet and bond with other mommy bloggers and so with the kids. The event started with a few talks from the Vita Cubes team and some guests then the fun started to unfold.

Tristan joined one of the games that afternoon, although he didn't win but at least he tried which is a good thing.

The function hall was filled with colorful balloons and unlimited samples of Vita Cube candies which the kids surely took advantage of.

Tristan and Athena enjoyed decorating their own rainbow cakes with mini marshmallows, sprinkles, and vita cube jelly candies then ate it afterwards.

A special magic show was prepared for all of us and we were all amazed watching it. I can definitely see the amazement on Athena's eye. Other activities such as the photo booth with a flip book as a souvenir was also available at the event. Then we were all served with  sumptuous snacks and drinks. Above all these, we were all given a generous loot bag containing Vita Cube Candies, pillow, and other sweet treats.

Each kid was also given one-hour play pass at the active fun playground. It was our first time there and since Athena is just 4 years old, I need to accompany her inside. It was tiring following them up and down, and around the place but there's nothing compared to seeing them having fun, at least I also got to take their photos.

Having fun at the colorful ball pit!

I can't believe how brave Athena is, she ain't scared of the big slide and actually did it many times. On the contrary, Tristan was the one who's scared and didn't even tried sliding.

Thank you so much to Vita Cubes and Mommy Bloggers Philippines for organizing this event, Tristan and Athena had a blast. It melts my heart as both of them kept on thanking me for bringing them with me on the event. I do look forward to more fun events like this with my kids.

Green Footprints Movement: A Call For Green Advocates

When we moved here in Las PiƱas 4 years ago, a lot of things were different from what we were used to. Aside from the fact that we moved in a condo where it is more quiet and safer as there are securities compared to the residential house situated in an overcrowded and busy Barangay in Tondo, the practices here are different. One thing is that they do not use plastic bags, they use brown bag or eco-bag instead. I am not sure whether it's just here in our community or is it also practiced in the whole city, but garbage are segregated accordingly.

Honestly, it takes a lot of getting used to these practices at first but come to think of it, these practices are environment friendly and is something that we would greatly benefit from. Besides, I'm a mom I serve as role model to my kids thus I should portray exemplary practices. I also taught them to always turn off the lights, electric fan, television and any other electronic appliances when they are not in use. Simple tasks, but I know it could make a difference especially now that we are facing climate change.

In line with this, the leading air conditioning and refrigeration solutions provider Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC), through its subsidiary Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company (CCAC) has launched the Green Footprints Movement. This advocacy aims to strengthen their commitment to a sustainable future by driving greater awareness and understanding of climate change and global warming among consumers and other stakeholders, and enabling access to green choices that will enable consumers to reduce their environmental footprint. The launch was held last March 10, 2016 in Makati City and I am glad that I get to be part of it.

According to CIC Chief Executive Officer Raul Joseph Concepcion “As the most encompassing environmental issue facing us today, climate change must be everyone’s agenda”
CCAC’s Green Footprints Movement calls out to the public to become green advocates.

“We want the public to be able to connect their everyday actions and decisions with its environmental impact. This consciousness, we believe, will lead them to make environmental impact an important consideration and value in everything they do or use.”  shared Harold Pernikar, Jr., CCAC Director and Head of the Consumer Solutions Group.

The Green Footprints Movement is a testament to CIC’s long-standing commitment to the environment, having led its industry in exercising responsible stewardship by employing best green practices and conducting their operations in a manner that safeguards the environment.

Concepcion Industrial Corp., through its subsidiary Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Co. (CCAC), takes its commitment to the environment a stepfurther by launching the Green Footprints Movement,an advocacy campaign that seeks to galvanize the general public into action towards reducing their environment footprint. Event attendees include (from left to right)Manila Fashion Observer blogger Christine Dychiao;Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) Assistant Director Dr. Eva S. Ocfemia;celebrity host and World Wide Fund (WWF) for Nature-Philippines National Ambassador Marc Nelson; Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC)Chief Executive OfficerRaul Joseph A. Concepcion, Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC) Executive Vice President for Business Development Rafael C. Hechanova, Jr., and Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company (CCAC) Director and Head of Consumer Solutions Group Harold Pernikar, Jr.

“Environmental health and safety is and has always been a key core value of CIC, and this is evident in the way we manage our business,” stated Concepcion, who noted how the company has leveraged on technology to create green facilities.

CIC was the first Philippine manufacturer to convert its refrigerators to use environment-friendly refrigerants back in 1995, and is once again leading the industry for its air conditioning solutions. Ninety-six percent of their air conditioning products have already been converted to using environmentally responsive refrigerants, and they expect to make a 100% product conversion within the year.

“As we enjoin people to commit to reducing their collective environmental footprint through the Green Footprints Movement, we believe we can create a significant impact towards creating a better, safer environment for the next generations.” said Concepcion.

At the event  I get to show my support by signing on the Green Footprints Movement pledge wall. I bow to be more responsible in terms of recycling and garbage disposal.
We all have a responsibility to our environment. Let's do our part and support the Green Footprints Movement. Let's start NOW!

Celebrating our First!

Anniversary, it is of one the most celebrated occasions in the world and luckily J (husband) and I get to celebrate our first ever Wedding Anniversary last June 30, 2013. It wasn't the way we originally planned it, it was just simple but a very special one.

Originally we planned on seeing a movie, then a full course dinner bu the bay plus an hour luxurious yacht cruise along Manila Bay. Sounds so romantic right? I actually saw this on Metrodeal, from Php11,000 per head to Php770 great deal right? But as much as I want it, we didn't do a reservation as early as then, we were thinking about sudden turn of events. Which is a good thing because just few days before the 30th we found out that my in laws wont be able to look after the kids as they have some business to deal with. Plan A is out of the list, now for Plan B we just thought of taking the kids out with us.

By the way, I just have a quick question for all the ladies. DO you agree that Us, ladies are "hopeless reomantic"? Haha, naghahanap lang ng kakampi 'coz yes I am guilty as charged! So to prove that though I am not bragging about it I personally had some hopeless romantic DIY anniversary gift ideas for J. I actually thought this through few weeks ahead, but didn't get the chance to do it until a day before our anniversary. Yea cramming has been my thing since school days. lol

So here's what I did, I recorded a video of myself singing. No I am not a good singer but I can sing and the song of my choice I COULD NOT ASK FOR MORE the message of the song is really good exactly what I am feeling. I was able to record several videos and just picked the best and uploaded it on my facebook page tagging J to it exactly 12MN. I actually uploaded 2 videos, a solo performance of yours truly and the other one with the kids as they woke up while i'm recording, I found it cute so decided to include it. Afterwards, I proceeded with the next DIY surprise for him, and ended up almost 3 in the morning. I was also expecting husband to arrive from work that time, but received a text message from him instead that he wont be able to go home right that moment 'coz it's raining so hard so I just went to bed and slept.

With barely 4 hours of sleep, I was awaken by J's arrival it was just past 6 in the morning. Although I was still sleepy I was delighted by what J brought home...A bouquet of red rose and chocolates, my husband knows me so well :) Syempre kilig naman ang lola mo :)What I appreciate the most was his effort, imagine it was raining and it was so early still he found a way to surprise me.
a photo I uploaded on instagram

He also saw my surprise and there was a moment of lambingan and exchanges of thank you's, then J went to sleep na. I wish I could to but the kids already up so i need to attend to them. J woke up almost 2 in the afternoon na and since it was still raining we just decided to have our late lunch delivered. We ordered the Big Barkada Meal A (good for 3 pax) from Greenwich, which incudes 1 Double Thick Hawaiian Overload Pizza, 3pcs Crispy Glazed Chicken, 3 Spaghetti Supreme and 3 regular softdrinks. The delivery was actually quick we didn't get to wait that long.

So that's how we celebrated our Anniversary, not as grand as what we planned it to be, but everything turned out so well. Simple, yet special, we didn't get to spend so much plus we are just in the comfort of our own home. How about you, how was your anniversary celebration mind sharing it? :)
