Is it worth it to get Loyalty Cards?

One day I’ve checked my wallet and thought it had a lot of stuffs inside. Unfortunately it’s not money that’s making it bulky hahaha! ^_^ I just recently noticed that I have a lot of Cards from different restaurants and places (I know other people who have more but yeah…)

Out of these cards, here’s a quick review and rates of how useful they are base on, affordability and how it can help you save.

First one on the list is
7-Eleven’s Every Day Rewards Card

Price: 10 pesos

Benefits: Every 50 pesos purchase (single or accumulated) entitles you to 1 point. You can use these points to redeem certain reward items depending on what’s available. There are branches that host a WiFi network and you can get access for 15 minutes at a cost of 1 point too.

Score: 3.5/5 I go to 7-Eleven almost everyday to buy drinks or snacks when at work so this one tends to get used a lot by me. It’s a bit slow to accumulate points though. Hoping they can give more points per 50 pesos.

Next is
Shakey’s Pizzanatic Super Card

Price: 399 pesos (may differ depending on the promotion)

Benefits: Earn 1 point Every 100 pesos worth of purchase. 1 point = 1 pesos.
10% discount for dine in or take out.
Buy 1 get 1 if you have a delivery for a large or party size pizza with 1.5 liter of Coke
Birthday Pizza, You get 1 free pepperoni pizza on your birthday. You can claim it 3 days on or before your birthday.

Score: 3.5/5 I love everything about it except for the point system also. The price of the card can really make you get a second thought. If it weren’t for the free banana split we got when we bought it and with the 10% immediate discount we got after spending roughly 1,500 pesos I would not have bought it. All in all it looks like we got the card for only 99 pesos. 150+ discount on our food and I believe the banana split cost somewhere around 150 pesos also. I just wish they would give us a choice about the birthday pizza since not everyone likes pepperoni.

Third one is
Mercury Drug Suki Card

Price: Get it for free if you spend 1000 worth of items.

Benefits: Earn Suki points which you can use to redeem certain stuffs. Every accumulated purchase worth Php200.00 is equivalent to 1 point.

Score: 4/5
Who doesn’t buy medicine or vitamins? I’d say this card is worth it especially since you can get it for free. I’d say make the most out of all the things you buy with this card +

Second to the last is
SM Advantage Card

Price: 150 pesos

Benefits: Too many to mention but the ones I like are;
Discounts for stores affiliated with SM.
Earning SMAC points that can be used to redeem a lot of rewards!

Score: 4/5
Awesome promos like a raffle for car or even a fully furnished condo! It’s doesn’t hurt to try. One of the cards I can definitely say that’s worth getting. Every savings count, I’m hoping they can do something like spend a certain amount and get this card for free LOL but aside for that I love this card.

Last but not the least
Jolibee’s Happy Plus Card

Price: 150 pesos

Benefits: Earn happy plus points, Every P 50 food purchase earns you one happy point. One happy point is equal to 1 peso.
Monthly Cash Winner, Every time you load up you earn raffle entries and can earn up to 100 thousand pesos. I was surprised when I suddenly saw my name on the list before for one of the lucky card holder who won 1000.00 pesos. Hey better than nothing right? ^_^
Get certain freebies like sundaes or fries with certain minimum purchases.
Can be used to Jollibee obviously hehe, Greenwhich, Red Ribbon and Chowking and as an added bonus earn 1 happy plus point for every 100 pesos spent if you gas up at Caltex.

Score: 5/5
The most useful card out there. When I bought mine for 150 pesos it included a 50 pesos discount for any purchase at jolibee, 50 pesos off for chowking, 50 pesos for greenwhich and 100 pesos off for red ribbon. If you think about it you get more of what you paid for. Just like what Kris and Bimby said in their commercial “SULIT”

I’m not sure what other loyalty cards out there is worth getting. Do leave a comment if you have any suggestions ^_^Y

Lazada's Bad Customer Service

It was way back in 2012 when we first had a bad experience with the said Online Shop. We placed an order for a baby bag for our upcoming baby and to our dismay we never got the item and never had any updates about it. Good thing we chose cash on delivery as an option that time.
Everyone deserves a second chance thus, we gave LAZADA another shot. Only to be disappointed once again.  Me and my wife placed an order for 1 vacuum for our house, 1 vacuum for our car, 1 set of blender and 2 packs of Pamper’s active dry (82+8).

We got weird notifications saying that we made a request to postpone our orders which we didn’t! Then we got another email and text notification that the orders are on its way.  To our  surprise another notification was received that we requested to delay the orders again! The notifications happened 6 times which was really annoying.

(First Package)

The order was place on September 27 2014 and we got the Diapers and the Max health Cyclone Vacuum Cleaner on September 30 2014. We already had a hunch and has been wondering why the car vacuum and the blender still hasn’t arrived but we waited patiently. It’s already October  5, 2014 and still no blender and car vacuum…

LIARS?

I can’t remember how many times I’ve called the representatives of lazada. I can’t say anything good with the previous representatives I’ve talked with. Each time I call I get a different information. First call said the order is already in the warehouse ready to be shipped. Second call the agent advised me that the order is already at 2go courier and even gave me a tracking number! I searched the tracking number at 2go’s website and nothing showed up. Third call I was already mad as the third representative informed me that the item is still on their warehouse. They made an escalation and said I would get an update on Monday. I hope they do give me a follow up about it…

Things just went from worse to worst. The vacuum cleaner we bought is defective! We tested it when we got it and it was working fine. Now that it’s Sunday “The Perfect day to clean the house” it didn’t even last for half an hour and it’s already not working! I already went to LBC to get the thing replaced and I’m hoping they would replace it or else I might have a heart attack! All items even the ones that are a still being shipped are already paid. I don’t pick money out of trees. Like all other people I work for it and definitely want value out of these products.

All in all it was a nightmare making transactions with this Online Shop. It’s sad because I was just getting used on making online transactions and never had this experience with other online shops.

I know it looks like I’m ranting but I just want to express my opinion and experience.

Lazada keeps on sending me emails and surveys about my experience. Well now they have it here.

One Of The First People To Buy An iPhone 6 Dropped It On TV

We all experience that anticipation, excitement and overwhelming joy when unboxing that brand new phone of ours.

Australian Jack Cooksey was the first person in Perth to get a new iPhone, making him one of the first people in the world to get a new iPhone 6. So he was interviewed on TV then the horror happened.

Jack applied a little too much force upon struggling on his first attempt to unbox the phone. Holding a phone that cost like gold and being infront of the camera might have made him just a bit tad too nervous to remove the lid of the box. The iphone 6 and concrete definitely isn't a good combination.

Next time you buy a phone a like this, a rugged case is definitely needed.

P.S. Jack says the phone "amazingly" was working just fine.

Seat Belts Save Lives

In support to Toyota's Seat belt campaign.

I joined the campaign to make everyone mostly our fellow Filipino to use seat belt.
Airbags is cool and awesome but works best with the said life saver tool.

http://www.besafetyleaders.com/seatbeltart/

Here's my own design of a seat belt. The app is already gone though :D

In the hope of making “It’s more fun in the Philippines” into “It’s more fun and safer in the Philippines” Let’s all go an extra mile in being leaders towards safety by promoting the importance of seatbelts.

The change always starts with you and ends with how much influence you’ve done to others. Be a leader that will take people miles and miles away towards a better road.

The road to success is nothing, when the ride you use is unbecoming.  It’s there for a reason. A seatbelt can save your life and the lives of others. Thank you Toyota for leading this campaign towards a safer Philippines, towards a safer world!

Let's all be safety leader towards a better road for everyone.
