Yellow Cab's Pizzarrific Opening at Centennial Road Cavite

I've always been a fan of Yellow Cab though we don't have a branch in my hometown back then. I remember travelling up to 2 hours just to get a taste of their great pizzas, because the nearest branch happens to be in Baguio City. Oh The things I'll do for some good pizza.

Yellow Cab Pizza Co. also has good stuff happening to all people from the South, especially to those who are around Gen. Trias Cavite!

Yellow Cab's latest branch is located at EPZA-Tejero Bypass Road (Centennial), Brgy. Bacao II, Gen. Trias Cavite, they already had their soft opening last October 31, 2015.

And, last November 4 was their Pizzarrefic grand opening which I was invited together with two fellow bloggers and Ms. Irene Layno of Yellow Cab Team. We arrived around 12 noon to a busy store since it was already lunch time. The store isn't that big, I believe it can accomodate up to 30 diners only at a time. But they set up an extension outside to accomodate more, since they also have some opening promotion for diners.

No matter how busy, we were welcomed warmly by the friendly staffs and our needs were attended accordingly. While waiting for our foods to be served, we began with the pizza making activity. The activity was set by 2 batches, 2 bloggers at a time and my 2 fellow bloggers went in first. The other blogger didn't make it to the event so it was just me for the second batch.

I was a bit nervous at first but eventually enjoyed making my own pizza, the Yellow Cab way! I was taught and assisted by sir Franco to make one of their best seller pizza, the New York's Finest which happens to be one of my favorite. Yey!

The pizza dough was already prepared so we just did the toppings, which are the following:
1. Pizza Sauce
2. Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese
3. Pepperoni
4. Ham
5.  Bacon
6. Ground Beef
7. Garlic
8. Onions
9. Red and Green Bell Peppers
10. Mushroom
11. Olives
12. Italian Sausage
13. Mozzarella and Parmesan Cheese

I'm not really sure if I got the spices in the right order but what I do know is that each of them comes in generous amount. Each spices are weighed and are carefully patterned with the goal of covering the entire dough up to the crust with toppings. And, that's what makes their pizza really great compared to other pizzas wherein the toppings are mostly just around the center leaving the edges of the crust empty. Aside from learning I definitely had fun especially on the part where Sir Franco told me to toss the Italian Sausage with feelings, as if I'm mad haha. I wasn't so sure if he was just joking or he really meant it, but I did what he said anyway (lol).

After filling the crust with toppings, here's what it looked like.

Ready to be baked in the oven for 5 minutes under 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

While waiting, I had a quick lunch, Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta and Hot wings!

Finally my pizza is done and I get to slice it too!

Ooooh! It looks deliciously gorgeous!

After the pizza making, we got the chance to meet and have a small talk with the owners, Dr. Leonard Lao (wearing blue polo) and Dr. Ismael Mercado (wearing yellow polo) of Divine Grace Medical Center.

Picture with the owners, fellow bloggers and staffs

When asked why they chose to franchise Yellow Cab, Dr. Mercado answered:
"We do believe in the company, and whenever we go to Manila or elsewhere we would always hang around Yellow Cab so we thought why not just bring it here!"

Now they don't have to go far just to relax and hang out because their store is just very accessible to the hospital where they work.

The Store opening was indeed a Pizzarrific success, thank you so much for having us!

Visit them now at, EPZA-Tejero Bypass Road (Centennial), Brgy. Bacao II, Gen. Trias Cavite or call them at 416-9999 for delivery.

Chinese Food Fest! Part 2 at David's Tea House (Mall of Asia)

Lots of empty seats isn't really a good sign but we thought on giving it a try.

This is the 2nd Chinese Food Review for restaurants that we went to last October. It was our first time to eat here to Celebrate my husband's birthday. The place does look good in all honest opinion but we were wondering why there wasn't much people around. It could be the time which we arrived around 7pm. We ordered some of the usuals that we order in chinese food restaurants.

First was the Spinach soup... My husband immediately commented about how sour it tasted. We thought it was just him but after 2 spoons full we also tasted the sour taste of the soup. We immediately asked to the waiter and got it confirmed that it was already spoiled. They asked us whether we want to change it and my in laws to said to just change it to Nido Soup which was again another mistake. We can probably make tastier soup at home. Appetizers really sets your expectations of what to follow and it gave us a bad impression which pretty much ruined the mood.

Radish Cake (Needs salt, Lots of salt)

Shrimp Siomai was good.(they have a promo of buy 2 take 1 by the way)

Fried rice and Pancit Canton (Definitely need to order these right?) The only dissappointment is the serving size.

Laput Lapu. We like it but there was a bit of disconnect with the waiter. We wanted Steamed Lapu Lapu since it's easier to eat. (ended up accepting it anyway)

We also order shirmp broccolli but to be honest we already lost a bit of appetite to even take pictures and just wanted to get things over with. I'm not sure if we'll ever go back. (Hopefully the second chance we'll give them sometime in the future would be worth it.)

Let's not forget group pictures! Trying to smile and still be thankful for another year of blessings.

My Belkin Wishlist

A day without my gadgets reminds me of that movie where all technology got destroyed. Yes, it would probably feel like it's the end of the world hahaha. My husband and I are always on the go as bloggers, parents and professionals. I remember what we used to also say to our customers when we used to work in a telecommunication company as sales representatives in the US. "Even kids nowadays have cell phones right?" Our gadgets especially our mobile phone really have a big role in our life. May it be checking our emails for updates from our clients, checking out our social media accounts like facebook, twitter and instagram, taking a bunch of pictures for blog reviews and even with our selfies! We want to always be on the go, luckily we encountered some of these must have "On the Go" products from the merchant, BELKIN PH BY MACPOWER.

My #BelkinWishlist

You can check these out at Lazada for reference.

What could possible go wrong without these? Chaos and Madness! *Ok that's too much exaggeration but you get the point* Definitely an experience you can solve with some Belkin magic~

Belkin Premium 1.2 Meter Lightning Sync/Charge Cable (White)
Choice of 5 metallic colors to mix & match

Belkin Black Mamba Mixit Micro USB to USB Cable (Black)
Choice of 5 metallic colors to mix & match

I love how these are specifically made for specific type of devices. One for the Apple Woman and One for the Android Man. We can just simply plug it in to charge, sync media files to our device, or upload data to a laptop. What we love most about this is it's durability. Both have braided cables with Aluminum shells that makes these the perfect partner to withstand heavy usage.

I can only imagine the horror of having to buy new ones cause of our frequent usage especially since we have some playful kids in the house.

Belkin Mixit 4000mAh Power Pack (Pink) and (Blue)
Also comes in (Black)

First things first! I love the matching colors which coincidentally our favorite colors. The fact that it's compatible with any usb enabled devices makes it the perfect battery backup you can always rely on. (4,000 mAh for hours of charge) The best part is that it has a Belkin Connected Equipment Warranty. If your device is damaged by an electrical charge while properly connected to the charger, Belkin will repair or replace it up to a value of $2,500

We sometimes can't resist using our phones before going to different events, travelling or simply going out. In some cases it will be him playing some games and me going online. It would be terrible to lose out on some instagramable pictures as well as staying in touch with your friends and family while going to different places and events.

Belkin Road Rockstar 4 Port Family Car Charger Port 7.2A (Black)

Imagine a Barkada Size Pizza (Oopps now I'm craving for one haha) This is my ideal on the go car charger for the whole family. It allows up to 4 devices to charge all at the same time at optimal speed. (2 USB ports for driver and passenger, while 2 USB ports extend to the backseat passengers.) It's also covered with BELKIN CONNECTED EQUIPMENT WARRANTY

No more Chaos and Madness! (again with the exaggeration haha) Every one will never have to worry about taking turns on charging their devices.

The family that charges their devices together takes a groupie together ^_^
How about you? Do you have a #BelkinWishlist ?

Herbalife Health Poll: 9 in 10 Filipinos "highly concerned" about the potential diseases that an unhealthy lifestyle can cause.

MANILA, Philippines - Nine in 10 Filipino consumers surveyed by global nutrition company Herbalife are “highly concerned” about the potential diseases that an unhealthy lifestyle can cause them, with the same number believing that simple lifestyle changes can help improve their overall well-being.

A good number of the respondents expressed willingness to adopt a healthy lifestyle; 79 percent said that they would cut down on unhealthy foods, 78 percent expressed their willingness to exercise more regularly, and 72 percent said they would make better nutrition choices.

“We welcome the results of the survey. It gives an understanding of Filipinos becoming even more health concious and self-aware that they need to make some lifestyle changes to improve their overall well-being. It also gives Herbalife an idea where we are needed, because as the survey revealed only four out of 10 would spend 10 to 30 minutes a day to make simple lifestyle changes,” said Rosalio Valenzuela, Herbalife Philippines General Manager.

The respondents, however, cited the following as the top obstacles to achieving a healthy lifestyle:
1.) lack of time for exercise  (75%)
2.) lack of time to make proper nutrition choices  (64%) and
3.) high cost of healthy food  (62%).

The same health poll likewise showed that the top three aging-related concerns in the country were heart, brain, and eye health.

Better knowledge and understanding

“The findings from the Herbalife survey clearly show that the majority of people in Asia Pacific that we questioned believe in the value of good nutrition and exercise as contributing to their overall well-being. We aim to play a greater role in providing practical tips and information to people to help them understand that the journey to a healthier, more active lifestyle is not difficult to achieve. With as little as 10 minutes a day, consumers can take positive steps to improve their nutrition and be more active, which will improve their overall well-being,” said William M. Rahn, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Herbalife Asia Pacific.

Herbalife conducted the survey in September 2015 in the lead-up to its Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour. It surveyed 1,200 respondents across six countries, including the Philippines, on perceptions towards their health and current lifestyle. Respondents from Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, and Thailand were likewise included in the survey.

Herbalife Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour

Now on its fourth year, the Herbalife Asia-Pacific Wellness Tour aims to deepen people’s practical understanding of the various aspects of living a healthy active lifestyle. Its previous tours in the past three years saw close to 60,000 participants across the region.

This year’s Wellness Tour will feature five members of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board (NAB) visiting 14 markets and 21 cities across the Asia-Pacific in the month of October. They will share their expert views on how people can make use of the little time they have to make simple lifestyle changes that will enhance their well-being.

Herbalife’s NAB experts will likewise share their views on a wide range of health-related topics, including weight management, brain health and aging; heart health; immunology; and skin care at the medical symposia being held in Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnamn.

The Herbalife NAB experts participating in this year’s Wellness Tour include Dr. David Heber, who incidentally will be coming to Manila, is a leading expert in the field of nutrition and named as one of “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds” by Thomson Reuters in 2014 and considered one of “The Best Doctors in America”; Dr. Lou Ignarro, a Nobel laureate in Physiology or Medicine in 1998 for his discovery of nitric oxide’s health benefits; Dr. Gary Small, a specialist in brain health and aging who has authored over 500 scientific works and has received numerous awards and honors, including the “Senior Investigator Award” from the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry; Dr. Marion Fltechner-Mors, a health nutrition specialist who is currently heading the nutrition and obesity research group at Ulm University, Germany; and Dr. Wang Jae Lee, a physician and academic specializing in immunology and a professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine.

Dr. Heber, who is the founding Director of the UCLA Center for Human Nutrition at the University of California, Los Angeles, will be conducting a symposium for free to Filipino medical practitioners on October 23, 9am, at the Manila Hotel. The symposium will gather a group of 100 doctors, nurses, physical therapists and medical practitioners. The title of the symposium is “Obesity: More Than Just Being Overweight and Nutrition Forecast for 2020.” Seminars of Dr. Heber are recognized by US hospitals as part of Continuing Education Studies, which are often required of applicants. The following day, Oct. 24, Dr. Heber will be holding seminars for thousands of Herbalife Independent Members in the same hotel.

This is the first time Dr. Heber, who is also the Chairman of the NAB and the Herbalife Nutrition Institute, to conduct a seminar in Manila since the company was founded in the Philippines 22 years ago.
