Chinese Food Fest! Part 1 at King Chef Seafood Restaurant (Lucky China Mall)

It's a big coincidence that practically almost all of my family member's birthday are all from September to October and for some reason we always end up eating at different chinese restaurants around Manila. I actually doubted a little on what Lucky China Mall can offer but soon changed after having our eyes and tummy filled with wonderful experiences.

The mall itself actually looks really good like SM like good in terms of construction and ambiance. There are different well known stores of clothes and restaurants included too. We took a quick stroll of the available restaurant until we ended up at King Chef Seafood Restaurant.

Birthday Selfie :)

The place looks pretty good. We stayed on the side cause we don't like people walking around us while eating.

We ordered some food the we normally order at chinese restaurants like the beef broccoli, broccoli soup, birthday canton , siomai, chicken feet and yang chow. We also tried some new dishes which was surprisingly superb like the fish tofu, shirmp balls salad and  the shirmp, crab and fish fillet all tied up together with sotanghon noodles. We normally have a lot of leftovers. I don't know if we were just really hungry this time but everything really tasted good that we only had a very small portion of the birthday canton left. I'd say this is one of our favorite places to eat from now on after just one dine in. It only costed around P 3,500 for 7 adults and 3 kids. I'd say it's "Sulit sa Sarap" Indeed.

Note: from 3-5pm and 8-10pm they have a 50% discount on their dimsums.

I forgot the exact name but it's shirmp, crab and fish fillet all tied up together with sotanghon noodles.

Our first family picture with food on our tables. (most of our eat out pictures have empty plates cause we only remember to take pictures after we already ate hahaha)

Surprised birthday song from the Staffs of King Chef Seafood Restaurant

It was a fantastic surprised birthday celebration made even more special with how good the food and service of their restaurant. It's definitely added into list of must try chinese restaurants. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook.

Lazada.com.ph Selling Fake Products?

When it comes to products and services we often look at how much we can save but is that enough reason to compromise the quality and our safety? Do you remember my previous post about my Bad Experience from LAZADA's Service? I knew that i wasn't the only who had problems with them and that there's other issues that needs to be resolved.

Here's a recent issue of an alleged news where the said online shop is selling FAKE Etude House products. Here's the official statement of Etude House Philippines who had taken action of filing criminal charges agains't LAZADA.

"We have not consented to any sale of such products by Lazada.com.ph and and is not in any way connected with the website and therefore cannot guarantee the authenticity and/or genuineness of the product sold by the said website.

In connection with this, Rosa Fiore House Corporation had filed criminal charges against the responsible corporate officers of LAZADA.com.ph for violations of Sections 155, 168 and 169 of the Intellectual Property Code due to the selling and/or facilitating the sale of fake and/or counterfeit Etude House of Korea product before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Makati which had been docketed as NPS DOCKET NO. XV-05-INV-15G2846."

Hairtastic Makeover at Mary Pauline Salon, Starmall Las PiƱas

Naturally i have a wavy, porous and a simply thick hair, that’s why I opt for a hair rebond every now and then. Recently I have noticed that my hair is starting to have more volume and some waves so I decided to have my hair rebonded again besides it’s been more than a year already since my last. Also I wanted to have a new look for my upcoming birthday, being a a mom doesn't mean that I have to stop looking good right?

With the increase in the number of salon establishments nowadays we sure got lots of options to choose from, but as a mom there are actually 3 things that i consider before availing any services. First is the price, Is it affordable? Money doesn’t just grow on trees so we have to be wise, set a budget and try to stick with it. Second is the Quality, should i elaborate more on this? Third is location, is it accessible? How far and how long is my travel time going to be? All of which seems to fit the newly opened branch of Mary Pauline Salon Star Mall Las Pinas Branch last October 3rd and they have really good deals that you definitely don't want to miss out for the month of October! Luckily I was invited by the beautiful Ms. Bianca Festejo to try any of their promo packages.

Mary Pauline Salon is just beside the cinema at the 2nd level of the mall so it’s very easy to locate.

Upon entering the salon, the first thing you’ll see is the TV, the waiting or reception area on the opposite side so while waiting for your turn you and your companion can watch and won’t get bored. The Salon looks neat in its white interior with a very classy design and some touch of green which is very relaxing to the eye.

Here's their promo rate till the end of the month of October only! I'll probably go here even if I'm not from Las Pinas! Note: It's for any length!

I went there last Thursday, October 15 and arrived at around 3PM. I availed Package D which consists of "Rebond + Permanent hair color + keratin treatment + hair cut" because I really wanted to get a better hair color. I would suggest package C if ever your already satisfied with you hair color so you can get cellophane which is an extra treatment to give your hair that beautiful shine and luster.

Me saying goodbye to my old look :D

Shampoo area

After shampooing my hair, it was then blow dried before applying the hair color.

The whole process takes 4-5 hours, quite long right? Don't fret though cause they have magazines, music playing for a more lively vibe and the friendly staffs whom I was able to make Chika in between the treatments. I was offered coffee or iced tea and sandwich which was well appreciated. They see to it that you are getting only the best of their service.

This is the product they used to color my hair. They also make sure that the products they use are of good quality.

I was styled by sir JR their senior stylist. (It always makes me feel safe to be styled by a senior stylist)
The 5 hours of Tiis Ganda moments wasn't as dull as i expected. I found with my Chika moments, how the staffs really seem to enjoy and appreciate their work. ^_^

It was already past 8 PM when we finished yet the salon is still full packed with customers. The staffs are all busy with their thing.

I was also able to meet the owner, the beautiful and kind Ms. Bianca Festejo.

I know you are already excited to see how my makeover turned out, so without further ado, here it is!

Tada! Photo taken at home so it was already exposed outside.

I really wanted a lighter hair color so I chose the "Ash blonde" but I was informed that since my hair is dark, it wont be as blonde as how I want it to be. It was a good thing that they told me about it, at least I didn't expect too much. I also like how they give tips of what's going to happen instead of simply discouraging customers from what they originally want. I love how it turned out though and next time, I'll be able to achieve lighter colors. I also had a side bangs done and had my hair trimmed at the tip since my husband wants me to keep it long this time. One of the things i like about the treatment is how refreshing it is to know that my hair doesn't have that foul scent that you usually have to put up with for the next 3 days. Most especially since i have three kids who are so sensitive to smell.

3 days after being able to wash my hair.
I feel and look young with my new hairdo. It definitely boosts my self confidence, thanks to Mary Pauline Salon!

Proper hair care and monthly treatment is a must if you wish to maintain your beautiful locks and good thing they got it covered. A loyalty card will be given to you after your first treatment and on your 6th visit you get yourself a free one! Freebies anyone?

What I really look for in any company is their sense of ownership which Mary Pauline Salon Starmall LasPinas clearly exudes. The reason I say this is because as I've experience and read from their post if ever customers are not happy they do offer a free retouch to make your hair even better. Respectively because client satisfaction is their main priority. Overall i can say that they truly deliver. Price, Quality and Location wise I am really satisfied. Even without the promo, their prices are more affordable compared to other known Salons. You get what you truly want and deserve. It's money well spent!

Taking Gifting to the Next Level

When I was a kid, the most exciting part of Christmas was making that one extra special wish and hoping that Santa (Possibly my parents ^_~) could make that wish come true. Now that I'm all grown up and have kids of my own, I'd like to share that experience of joy and excitement not just to my family but to as many people as I can. The season of love and giving grows in our heart especially with all the Christmas songs playing in each corners of the streets, stores filled with our favorite sumptuous Bibingka and Puto Bumbong and the many malls going on sale!

The whole family is hyped with all the Christmas songs playing and decided to already decorate our home a little. We started with some simple decorations that can be made with recycled materials like ; old magazines, broken CDs and some used colored paper.

(A very advance Merry Christmas from Team Poreber)

I've been thinking of what to include in our Christmas Bucket List but couldn't really decide what to get or do for the whole family. That's when me and hubby decided to do some window shopping. What better way to get gifting ideas than asking the people who's making the actual wish right? We can practically get almost everything we might need or want this coming Christmas at any SM Supermalls. The thought itself of being able to gaze upon your wish made us want Christmas to come already.

Here's our Christmas Bucket List ala Team Poreber Style!

A mother's wish for herself always ends up being for the sake of her family. I guess that's just how a mom is and always will be. I have two things on my wish list but I already got a surprise hair makeover (for the benefit of my husband, so he can have a lovely wife ^_~.)

I would love to take my baking passion to the next level with some of these lovely equipment. I can only imagine how the kids and hubby would love my new sweet creations. Labor of love as they say. ^_^

I'm taking this gifting to the next level because there's no guessing anymore. The Christmas gift ideas can't be anymore specific as what they have shown me hahaha!

Here's hubby with his yearly wish. A brand new pair of shoes to get a kick start ahead for Christmas.

Our little boy feeling like a pro motorcyclist.

Our fairy princess wanting her own fairy doll.

and our cutie pie with a Minie Mouse stuff toy that's as tall as her!

These definitely needs some adjustments on our budget and we have no less than 2 months to make it work. Will this plan work? I guess we'll find out on my next post the week before Christmas.

We also have a tradition every year with the influence of my In laws. A way for us to give back to others every Christmas, as thanks for all the love, happiness and blessings that we receive each year.

We normally grab a few extra grocery items, not for ourselves but for the less fortunate families in the streets. Circumstances has given those families harder trials to overcome in their lives. It's sad to see so many homeless families in some corner of streets in Manila. We know the hardship and struggles of someone trying to give a better future for his family and that’s why we do what we can to also help those people striving hard for the sake of their family.

I guess the odds are in our favor when SM Supermalls announced their Merry SM Christmas campaign. Those Holiday Gift Basket would be Love in a basket for those families.

Just in case going street by street and handing out some grocery baskets is a little bit too much, you're in luck! It would be my pleasure to inform you that SM Supermalls is once again opening it's doors towards giving joy to less fortunate children from various orphanages and charitable institutions through the SM Cares Program.

Last year we were able to be part of this heartwarming campaign which is a win win situation. You get to have one random kid experience the joy and love of a stranger through giving away 1 teddy bear and in return you get to get one for yourself or give one to your love one.

Hubby got a sweet kiss from our eldest daughter and she just love the teddy bear. It's going to be my turn this year to once again make another kid smile along with our youngest daughter as we take part of this campaign. (It's also a chance for lonely teddy at home to get a matching new teddy. ^-^)

How about it guys? Dare to take gifting to the next level? You never know, Santa might also bring you're presents to the next level by being a good boy or girl. Happy Holidays!
