Matching Mommy Daughter Bracelets

Threening in our white dresses and Personalized Matching Mommy Daughter
Bracelets by Sparkles by Erin
"A daughter is God's way of saying, 'Thought you could use a lifelong friend.'"- Unknown
Mom and daughters indeed have a special kind of bond. And I can say that becoming a mom has brought me even closer to my mom. I now understand her better, her ways of disciplining my siblings and me, and the things she did for us. Apart from the many life lessons she taught us, she also is a cool and kikay mom. I'm the youngest of four siblings, my sister and I have a seven-year age difference. So I was my mom's baby and enjoys dressing me up, which I also do now to my daughters, Athena and Brianna.

Although my mom would dress me up and doll me up when I was a little kid, I wasn't really into it growing up. Though I love to wear nice clothes, you'd rarely see me wearing any jewelry or accessories. And, I wasn't also the "twinning or matchy-matchy outfit kind of mom" well, not until recently. I suddenly began enjoying wearing "threening" outfits with my daughters and realized that it wouldn't be long until they'd want to do this with me. So I am cherishing these moments with them.

And just recently, we got our first-ever matching mommy daughter bracelets from Sparkles by Erin. Yay!

Usually, I just get twinning accessories for them, so I was really excited about this.

We received it at perfect timing because right after the kids' exams, we went on a quick trip to Tagaytay. So we took the opportunity to dress up and have our photos taken with our bracelets!

Look how pretty they are, they even have our names on them!

Sparkles by Erin is an online shop selling handmade and personalized mom and baby bracelets for as young as newborn to adult sizes. They have been in the biz for 3 years since 2018, which really only started as a hobby until early last year when the owner decided to give it more focus given today's social and economic situations.

What makes their items unique?
  • Bracelets are available for as young as newborns. It's very rare for you to find bracelets made for babies, right?
  • They take pride in their products for being safe because they use a fixed wire to make them, thus it is impossible for little hands to break under normal conditions. (Of course, it is advisable for parents to still practice caution as the bracelets still contain materials that are choking hazards. )
  • Can be personalized with a name or statement at no extra cost.
  • Customizable - choose your preferred bead color, lock and wire finish.
  • Classy & charming designs
  • The materials they use are 14k gold electroplated brass
  • Non-tarnish
  • and hypoallergenic.

When you buy from them, your items will come in a dainty jewelry box and pouch.

I just realized that matching bracelets are something we can continue using even as they grow up. They may feel awkward wearing matching outfits but not bracelets, right? Haha! This momma is just being hopeful.

Anyway, Mother's Day is just right around the corner. These matching mommy daughter bracelets would be a perfect gift! Get a pair each for you and your mini-me/s, or include them on your wishlist and have someone purchase them for you as a gift. Get one for your mom too, or gift your mommy friends. I'm sure they'll love it!

Say Yes to yourself!

I remember having this conversation with my kids, where we talked about life, and being true to oneself. My kids are still very young, but they are very curious and asks a lot of questions. So I make time to sit down with them and have a heart to heart talk about things that confuse them or any topic that interests them.

That conversation was because of Brianna being shy. She's shy, whenever there are other people around, she's shy at school and doesn't even talk to her classmates and teachers. She even missed a lot of opportunities at school because of that. But, I am glad that she is slowly getting out of her comfort zone. Just last school year, she joined the Spelling bee and won first place. Woohoo! This situation is not new to me. Growing up, I've always been shy as well. (Now you know where Brianna got it. Haha!) And, because of that, I've let a lot of opportunities and good things pass by.

I'm sure that a lot of people could relate to it. At some point in your life, you've said "no" to things, when in fact, what you wanted to say was, "yes." There are different reasons as to why this happens, probably insecurity, fear and lack self-confidence. It could also be because some people or situations are holding you back. I know a lot of people who care too much about others, thus setting aside their needs.

Every time you give in to these things, you say "no" not just to opportunities or possible good things, but you are also saying "no" to life. There's no wonder why many people are not genuinely happy.
