Baby Gifts That New Parents Love

Pregnancy is such an exciting time, and if a loved one has recently shared their news chances are you’ll be thrilled for them. A new baby to spoil and love is always an absolute joy. If you’re particularly close to the couple, you might want to really splash out and treat the parents/ baby to something really nice in anticipation of their arrival. If so, here are a few luxe options to consider.

Hamper

The great thing about a hamper is it’s completely customizable, if you put it together yourself you get full control of what goes in. Instead of one gift, you can put together lots of smaller things, packed with items the parents will find really useful or special. You could include everything from a teddy bear to Egyptian cotton baby towels, a silver plated birth certificate holder and some really nice quality organic baby products. Find a gorgeous basket and fill it up, and then use clear film to wrap it up with a big bow. You can control exactly how much you spend, and it always looks like a spectacular and well thought out gift.

Baby Clothes

Dressing up their newborn is something that all new parents thoroughly enjoy. Having lots of cute outfits on offer is never going to be a bad thing, they might grow out of them quickly, but the photos and memories will last a lifetime. Outfits as well as staple pieces like sleep suits, vests, bibs and other essentials will all come in useful when babies need changing so often.

A Pram or Car Seat

Choosing a pram is a big decision as new parents. There are so many on offer, the impressive City Select convertible stroller by Baby Jogger, for example, would be ideal if they already had one child. If you’re not confident making this decision, you could always cover the cost, so the parents are able to choose something themselves. Since this is a significant cost when having a baby, it’s sure to help them out tremendously. A car seat is another essential since these should always be bought brand new (second-hand models could have been dropped or damaged and therefore not perform correctly) its something most parents are going to have to buy.

A Piece of Furniture

Another big expense with a new baby is nursery furniture. So helping out here could take a lot of strain off the new parent's finances. Whether it’s a crib, changing table or baby wardrobe, it’s sure to come in useful. Be sure to check the style with the parents beforehand, since they might have a theme or style in mind it’s probably not something you can buy as a surprise, So again you could offer to cover the cost of something they choose themselves. That way, you’ve got to help and you know it’s something that matches the rest of the nursery, and they will get plenty of use from.

What do you think makes a great gift for a new baby?
