Whisk Your Partner Away This Valentines Day With a Romantic Mini Break

Since it's the LOVE Month, here's my most favorite Prenup photo of ours
It's the first of February and Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so if you’re planning on treating your partner or getting away this year it’s time to put plans into action! When life is busy and chaotic, a mini break with the one you love is just what the doctor ordered- a chance to relax and unwind and spend quality time together. Here are some things to think about when you’re planning your break.

Book Time Off Work

Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year, so if you plan on celebrating on the day itself, you may need to both book some time off work. Alternatively, you could go away the weekend before, this gives you the advantage of keeping it a surprise if you need to, and restaurants not being quite as booked up. You’ll need to arrange childcare too, your regular babysitter may have plans over Valentine’s Day so be sure to check before booking anything.

Decide On Your Destination

Some places in the world are known for being romantic, but anywhere can be if you’re with the one you love. You could revisit a place you both love or holds special relevance to you. Or you could just look online and see if anywhere captures your interest. If you’re only going to be away for a couple of days, it’s worth choosing somewhere that’s not too far away. That way you don’t waste too much of your break with the travel side of things.

Make Sure You Look and Feel Great

For a romantic getaway, you will want to make a special effort and look and feel your best. You could have your hair and nails done, and pamper your skin before you leave. You could pack some lingerie that flatters you and makes you feel good about yourself, Freya bras and underwear have a selection of different styles. Choose clothing items that give you confidence and that you know you look good in, although make sure you pack appropriately! You don’t want to be clip-clopping around in heels in the day if you’re going to be on your feet for a lot of the time. If you pack well and keep it light, you could use a hand-luggage sized case and save time at the airport if you’re traveling by plane.

Look Into Romantic Things To Do

Regardless of where you travel to, it’s what you do while you’re away that will make the trip romantic. You could see if there are any bars with terraces where you can watch the sun go down in the evening. You could plan a romantic picnic or walk on the beach, or visit a fancy restaurant. If you wanted to go all out, you could even go on a hot air balloon ride, helicopter ride or visit an attraction which offers spectacular scenic views of your destination. Do some research before you go, booking tickets and things ahead of time means no messing around or wasting time while you’re away. Some restaurants and attractions will need to be booked in advance anyway, so this way you avoid disappointment.

Hope this helps! Hope you all have a Happy Valentines Day!
